Oxymoron (B.A.)

Oxymoron is a bachelor project that brings together music and visual art as one interconnected body of work. At its core is a self-written 13-track acoustic album that functions as a personal narrative, exploring identity, inner conflict, and the tension between opposing emotional states.

The project extends beyond sound into a visual and physical framework consisting of photographic self-portraits, a lyric book, and a vinyl prototype. These elements translate the music into image and object, creating a multi-layered experience that reflects how identity is constructed, performed, and perceived.

The concept of the oxymoron, the coexistence of contradiction, forms the conceptual foundation of the work. It reflects the idea that opposing emotions and states do not cancel each other out, but instead shape a coherent whole. The project examines how the self is consciously and unconsciously staged, and how this staging influences both personal understanding and external perception.

By combining sound, image, and physical media, Oxymoron turns introspection into something tangible. It invites reflection on vulnerability, creativity, and the act of making inner experiences visible, while also emphasizing the importance of physical formats as a counterpoint to digital ephemerality.
